Course Description: This course will provide information enabling care staff to recognise and report safeguarding issues as the law requires. The aim of this session is to explore the varying forms of abuse, to discuss the impact of abuse on the individual and consider the management of abuse. Course Content: · Varying forms of abuse · Possible causes of abuse · Describe the legislation that protects vulnerable adults · Describe the procedure for reporting safeguarding issues Accreditation: A certificate will be issued on completion of the Safeguarding Awareness Course.
