Services

  • At BSA Care, we don’t believe you have to stop living the life you want to or leave your home of many years, just because you’ve reached a certain age.
  • We understand the needs of people in their later years and with our care support and personal assistance, you can continue to live independently in your own home.
  • We’ll work with you to build a care support package designed to provide as much or as little care support as you require. Our care workers can assist you with tasks such as morning and bedtime routines, bathing and dressing, doing light housework and laundry or helping to prepare meals.
  • Because needs may become more complex with age, we offer more specialised services to enable on-going independent living, including medication management, regalement care to help you or a loved one get back on your feet after poor health or a hospital stay, dementia care and palliative care.
  • We believe staying involved in your local community is central to your general health and well-being, so we can support you to do this in any number of ways, including accompanying you to attend religious services or social events, take part in activities you’re interested in, meet up with your family and friends, collect prescriptions or stay in touch with your loved ones by letter or email.

Information and Advice for Funding for Care

Funding for Care:

State funding for care

Although paying for care can be a complex issue, your local authority can help you find out your options. An assessment will let you know if you are entitled to any financial support, and if so, how much.

Funding your own care

Care and support services are means-tested and are not free to everyone. Most people have to pay something towards their own care and some will have to pay for all of the costs. Who pays depends on what your needs are, how much money you have, and what level and type of care and support you require.

Care fee annuity

Because it’s impossible to say for how many years you’ll need to meet the cost of care, a care fee annuity can give you peace of mind. You make a lump sum payment, and the Annuity pays an agreed amount (usually tax-free) to your care provider each month. You get the reassurance that this ‘income’ is secure for the rest of your life, regardless of interest rate or stock market changes.
